We took a summer camp field trip to Isla J Farms in early June, and it was so much fun! They were very accommodating of our large group, and the kids loved the animals! The baby skunk was a big hit!

The farm is fabulous. Lots of friendly animals and the owners are very knowledgeable about each animal. The animals are very well cared for and seem very happy to have a safe home with lots of love. Our granddaughter (2.5yrs) enjoyed it but I think the adults had a better time. I will definitely go back. A great morning. Highly recommend the experience 🥰

Great time yesterday celebrating my husband's birthday. So many cool rescue animals I can't remember them all!!

We held adorable baby skunks, baby Coatimundi (also called Coati) - little raccoon like animals with long, ringed tails, and something else I can't remember now.

We petted a baby owl, lots of cool, beautiful birds with PERSONALITY, and more!

There were big cats with tufted ears (African Caracals), smaller, spotted African Servals, emus, lemurs, and even a crocodile!

The owner had SO MUCH knowledge and information about the care and journey of these animals. Quite enlightening.

Best take-away: if you can't take care of any pet (much less an exotic) for its ENTIRE life, and you've researched what that entails, then do not purchase one (legally or illegally). The farm works REALLY long hours to rehabilitate these animals to make them happy again, and it was heartbreaking to hear how "good-intentioned" previous "owners" had mistreated some of these little cuties... sometimes without even knowing they were hurting (and disfiguring) them.
